not that much is known internationally about the terrible situation in my country because of winter, so I dedicate this post to tell what is happening and make an invitation to solidarity with the victims and together we help improve things.
The question is this, and rain throughout the rainy season has been particularly hard on my country with floods and landslides. The rivers have overflowed to the point where entire populations are fully flooded, the water reaches the roof of the houses. The biggest drama is living near my hometown (I live in Barranquilla, capital of the department Atlantic), this has been the region most affected because the force of water opened a hole in the Canal del Dique, and all the people around them are completely under water.
So far there 1'959 .928 people affected, 246 dead, 246 wounded and 99 missing, according to the report. The rains affects more than 400 thousand families in over 650 municipalities in 28 of the 32 departments in the country, where winter destroyed 2,938 homes and leaving 296,340 others in poor condition.
The outlook is very discouraging because it seems things will not improve but are getting worse. So I ask you to be in solidarity with Colombia and help, there are lots Weekday help.
